Cinnamon Roll protein and chia smoothie


This smoothie is simple to make and is a great option to have as a meal replacement. The only detail is that if you decide to drink this smoothie instead of having a normal meal, you need to ensure that it will be a smoothie rich in vitamins and minerals.

I believe that a nutritious drink as a meal replacement can aid weight loss and if it is combined with a balanced diet, your body shouldn’t lack nutrients. It comes back to the idea that too much of anything wouldn’t be good…

Now that are you convinced that you can have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner as long as you don’t decide to live on smoothies, this drink is really tasty (of course! 😃) and is packed with vitamins B, C and K and minerals such as manganese, lots of fibres, proteins and so on.

So lets get this yummy Cinammon Roll smoothie done!

You will need:

1 large banana (better if it is quite ripe which will make it naturally sweeter)

1 tbsp of Cinnamon (grounded)

1 cup of unsweetened almond milk or soy milk

1 tsp of chia seeds

1 shallow tbsp of Vanilla whey protein

Additional ground cinnamon for garnishing your delicious smoothie.

 

Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix for around a minute. Garnish with the additional cinnamon and enjoy.

I believe that it should taste simply delicious and you won’t need any extra sugars, but if you think it could be a bit sweeter, try to use natural sweeteners such as maple syrup, agave nectar or honey.

Tip: Another variation could be to use coconut milk and perhaps adding some shredded and dehydrated coconut onto your drink.
